A day as a Food & Beverage intern is incredibly diverse. There are different shifts, so you can work breakfast shift, lunch or dinner. In between, you also welcome the groups in the meeting rooms.
Today you work an evening shift! At 17:30 the first guests walk in for dinner. You give them a warm welcome and take their drink order. Then you hand them the menu and give them another recommendation. Then you walk to the kitchen to let them know that the guest of table 15 has a gluten allergy, so that they can take this into account. You immediately take the main course from the kitchen for table 8 and serve the plates. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the guests lack nothing!
Today you are in the restaurant, but tomorrow you are behind the bar! Then you can prepare the drinks and cocktails. You haven’t done this before, but no worries, an experienced colleague will explain it all to you!
Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark has a tough character that is inspired by the industrial past of the area. It is the place to spend the night, dine in Bar & Brasserie Werkspoor, organize business events and completely unwind in Spa Steam. The wellness centre has a swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna and massage room. In addition, all luxury room types are equipped with a round in-room hot tub and/or a private sauna.
Our current interns can answer this question best of course!
"I would definitely recommend Inntel hotels as an internship! Here I had the opportunity to put my theories into practice in a very educational way and to gain insight into my own qualities and learning points. I was able to learn a lot, such as making cocktails, serving the guests and communicating with the guests". (F&B intern Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach, 2024)
