Job summary

Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam is offering a Food and Beverage Operational Intern role to gain hands-on experience across restaurant, bar, breakfast, and events. You will deliver on-floor service and support daily operations in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in hospitality studies, fluent in English, with a proactive, flexible attitude and a passion for guest satisfaction. Internship lasts at least 5 months, with opportunities to learn and grow within the Park Plaza

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality or hotel management program.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Passion for guest service and food & beverage.
• Available for at least 5 months.
• Eligible to intern in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service across restaurant, bar, breakfast and events.
• Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
• Support mise en place, service preparation, and closing duties.
• Explain menus and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation and service standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and outlets for smooth service flow.
• Stay flexible to cover different outlets as needed.
• Contribute to a positive and energetic team environment.

As a Food and Beverage Operational Intern, you become part of the daily operation, delivering service on the floor while ensuring every guest enjoys a smooth and memorable experience. This hands-on role allows you to build strong operational skills across restaurant, bar, breakfast, and events, while gaining insight into how exceptional service drives guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service across restaurant, bar, breakfast, and events
• Welcome guests with a warm and professional approach
• Support mise en place, service preparation, and closing duties
• Explain menus, suggest options, and support guests with dietary requirements
• Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and service standards are consistently maintained
• Work closely with the kitchen and team to ensure smooth service flow
• Stay flexible and support different outlets depending on business needs
• Contribute to creating a positive and energetic team environment

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality, hotel management, or related study program
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Passion for food, drinks, and guest service
• Hands-on and proactive attitude
• Flexible and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
• Availability for an internship of at least 5 months
• Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience or strong interest in Food and Beverage or hospitality
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset
• Dutch or any additional language is an advantage
