Job summary

Independent Recruiters is seeking an Operational Business Controller for a hands-on role in Utrecht. You will own the full Planning & Control cycle, partner with IT, Marketing, HR, and Supply Chain, and deliver timely financial insights to budget owners.

Key tasks include month-end close, budgeting, forecasts, and performance reviews. You will influence cost control and reporting within a large, international FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Finance/Business Control experience in a large, international setting.
• Strong planning & control processes including budgeting, forecasting, month-end and reporting.
• Experience with central functions, overheads or cost centers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Planning & Control cycle for assigned departments.
• Manage and analyse P&L below gross profit, balance sheet and working capital.
• Coordinate month-end close and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and the Annual Operating Plan.
• Conduct monthly forecasts and performance reviews with budget owners.
• Analyze variances and identify risks and opportunities.
• Challenge budget owners on spending and performance.
• Support cost control, orders, accruals and other day-to-day topics.
• Collaborate with Financial Control and stakeholders across the organization.
