The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience in finance and strong knowledge of SAP and Power BI. Fluent Dutch and English are required.

Do you have a passion for driving commercial performance through sharp financial insight and strong stakeholder partnership? FrieslandCampina's OPCO Europe is looking for an experienced Commercial Controller to support our Home Market business across Horeca and Bakery in North‑West Europe.

In this role, you will act as a trusted business partner to senior commercial leadership, helping steer pricing, profitability and strategic decision‑making across the region.

Your Impact

As Commercial Controller North‑West Europe (volume ~60kT, net sales >€250m), you will:

• Act as key finance business partner to senior commercial stakeholders in the Netherlands and Belgium
• Support commercial teams directly (~55 FTE, volume ~40kT, net sales >€150m)
• Drive value creation through insightful analysis, disciplined financial control and proactive challenge

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

• Provide financial leadership on pricing, promotions and commercial strategy; challenge assumptions and support fact‑based decision making.

Performance Management

• Monitor KPIs, analyse trends and variances versus budget and prior year, and proactively recommend corrective actions.

Forecasting & Planning

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and month‑end closing cycles, ensuring accuracy, transparency and timely delivery.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong cross‑functional relationships, influence outcomes and ensure alignment between financial objectives and commercial execution.

Financial Control & Process Improvement

• Ensure robust financial planning and control, continuous process improvement and execution of the internal control framework.

What You Bring

Knowledge & Experience

• Master's degree (WO) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or similar
• Minimum 10 years' experience in finance & controlling
• Proven experience in Commercial Controlling / Finance Business Partnering
• Strong systems knowledge: SAP, Power BI, Excel
• Fluent in Dutch and English (professional working proficiency required)
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into business insights
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Customer and market‑oriented mindset
• Comfortable operating independently in a complex, matrix organisation
