Job summary

Fiducial, a deep-tech startup located in Delft, seeks a Flight Operations Engineer/UAV Pilot to pilot and maintain UAV platforms, bridging autonomy software with hardware. Candidates with FPV experience and a hands-on approach are valued. The role involves field work, workshop activity, and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities include flight-ready preparation, system checks, and collaboration across embedded perception and autonomy software teams. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Experience flying UAVs or RC aircraft is required.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Hands-on, field-oriented with hardware assembly and testing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Pilot and operate UAV platforms in test and field environments.
• Ensure platforms are flight-ready through pre-flight and post-flight routines.
• Develop interface between flight controllers (ArduPilot/Betaflight/PX4) and autonomy stack.
• Work with embedded Linux systems on Jetson/Orange Pi/Raspberry Pi.
• Travel to test sites internationally for field tests.
