Job summary

DHL Express in Nieuw-Vennep zoekt een parcel courier om pakketten te bezorgen. Je start op het depot, begroet collega’s, laad de bestelwagen en rijdt door de Haarlemmermeer. Met scanner en navigatie voer je routes uit en houd je administratie up-to-date.

De functie vraagt een B-rijbewijs, een jaar rijervaring, 24–40 uur per week en woon- of vervoersnetwerk nabij Nieuw-Vennep. Goede communicatieve vaardigheden zijn vereist.

Qualifications

• Geldig rijbewijs B en ervaring op de weg.
• Vloeiende Engelse communicatie.
• In staat om met scanners te werken.

Responsibilities

• Rijdend bezorgen van pakketten binnen de regio.
• Laden/ lossen van de wagen en controleren van pakketten.
• Navigatie gebruiken en rit aanpassen bij verkeerswisselingen.
• Klanten vriendelijk begroeten en professioneel leveren.
• Pakketten scannen en handtekeningen verzamelen; administratie bijhouden.

Wat je gaat doen

Do you like being on the road, meeting different people during the day and finishing your shift knowing you have helped an entire area receive their parcels on time?

As a parcel courier at DHL Express in Nieuw-Vennep, you start your shift at the depot where you greet your colleagues, grab a coffee and load your van. In DHL workwear you head out on your route in the Haarlemmermeer region. With your scanner and navigation system you follow a clear route, make short friendly stops at homes and businesses, and keep your administration up to date. At the end of your shift you return to the depot, hand in your scanner, have a quick chat with the planner and colleagues, and you are ready to go home or to your study or family commitments.

Your tasks:

• You drive your DHL van safely through your region and deliver parcels on time to private and business customers.
• You load and unload your van carefully and check your parcels so your route starts and ends in an organised way.
• You use navigation and DHL systems to plan and follow your route and adjust when traffic or volume changes.
• You greet customers in a friendly way, answer short questions and make sure every delivery feels professional.
• You scan parcels, collect signatures and keep your digital administration accurate throughout your shift.

• Hourly wage: €16.60 to €20.75 per hour, depending on experience
• Weekly or four-weekly salary payment, whichever suits you best
• Flexible working hours: 24 to 40 hours per week
• Holiday allowance: 8% accrued on your earned salary
• Travel allowance: €0.23 per kilometer, up to 40 km one way travel.
