Job summary

Rituals, Amsterdam, is seeking a General Manager for House of Rituals to lead a flagship location and deliver premium customer experiences. You will oversee Sales, Marketing, Operations and Events, driving performance and ensuring alignment across teams.

You will bring a decade of leadership in retail or hospitality, strong in-store know-how, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-functional initiatives. English fluency is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, events or other branded customer environments.
• Strong in-store experience, with time spent close to the shop floor.
• Proven experience leading a flagship, multi-floor or complex, high-volume location.
• Strong track record in commercial performance, operational excellence and people leadership.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different functions.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and turn ideas into execution.
• High emotional intelligence and leadership style that builds trust.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the performance and day-to-day leadership of House of Rituals.
• Lead the key functions within the building, including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Events.
• Align teams, priorities and disciplines to ensure the House operates as one cohesive destination.
• Set the standard for leadership, collaboration and execution across the building.
• Translate strategy into strong commercial execution and consistent operational delivery.
• Foster a test-and-learn mindset, using insights from customers, teams and performance to drive continuous improvement.
