APG is seeking an experienced Financial Risk Manager for its IRM Capital Markets Investments team. The role covers risk management across assets including equities, government bonds, mortgages, and credit; you’ll perform risk analysis, oversight, and reporting to support investment decisions.

You’ll work with senior stakeholders, contribute to quantitative tooling, and participate in risk governance. Hybrid work and a strong pension plan are offered.

Formación

• Academic degree in Economics, Econometrics or Finance.
• FRM, CFA, VBA, CAIA or relevant certifications are a strong plus.
• 1–5 years of relevant work experience in investment risk management and risk analysis.
• Knowledge and experience with risk management for liquid asset classes (Equities, Govt Bonds, Mortgages, IG/HY credits, Private Credit).
• Digital, dashboarding, visualization and programming skills (Python, Alteryx, Qlik).
• Experience with IT suites: RiskMetrics, FactSet, Bloomberg is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (Dutch/English).

Responsabilidades

• Provide independent risk management and risk monitoring for APG AM’s capital markets asset classes.

• Perform risk and performance oversight and compliance monitoring at investment and client mandate levels.
• Offer independent challenge and risk opinions as a second-line risk manager.
• Develop and maintain quantitative analyses and tools for the risk framework.
• Create risk reports and insights for stakeholders to support investment decisions.
• Provide proactive risk advice to stakeholders and act as sparring partner.
• Represent the team to external stakeholders.

The role

You, together with your team, perform risk management, performance analysis and ongoing risk monitoring activities across APG AM’s capital markets investments domain. This includes among others: Equities, Government Bonds, Mortgages, (IG and HY) Credits and Private Credit.

What You Would Do

• Provide independent investment risk management and risk monitoring for APG AM’s capital markets asset classes.
• Review and assess investment proposals, providing risk analysis and well-substantiated risk opinions.
• Perform risk and performance oversight (including ODD oversight) and investment compliance monitoring at the investment and client mandate level.
• Fulfill a second-line risk management role, offering independent challenge, advice and risk opinions.
• Contribute to the development, digitization, maintenance and updating of quantitative analyses and tools to support the risk monitoring framework.
• Creating information and reporting products on risk analysis towards our stakeholders for effective investment decision making.
• Provide professional advice in a proactive manner to stakeholders and act as sparring partner.
• Represent the team towards relevant stakeholders outside the team.

What You Bring

You are a proactive team player with demonstrated ability in guiding colleagues. You are able to work with multiple and diverse stakeholders, including senior management, with divergent interests in the execution of their work. You are highly accurate, self-motivating and possess strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Furthermore you bring:

• Academic degree in relevant field (Economics, Econometrics or Finance).
• FRM, CFA, VBA, CAIA or relevant certifications are a strong plus.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of relevant work experience in investment risk management and risk analysis.
• Knowledge and experience with risk management activities and risk analysis for liquid asset classes such as Equities, Government Bonds, Mortgages, (IG and HY)Credits and Private Credit.
• Digital, dashboarding, visualization and programming skills with for example: Python, Alteryx, Qlik.
• Knowledge and experience of the following IT suites is a strong plus: RiskMetrics, FactSet and Bloomberg.
• You have skills at hand to bring about innovation towards our products including the implementation thereof.
• Excellent communication (orally and in writing, Dutch/English) skills.

What We Offer You

We will offer you, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, a gross salary in the range of 4600 - 6800 EUR based on full-time employment and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:
