Job summary

Orange Capital Partners is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to support the development of the company’s financial processes. You will collaborate with asset management, data, operations and portfolio strategy teams, as well as international colleagues and external partners.

The role requires strong IFRS and HGB knowledge, a finance/ auditing background, and at least 5 years of experience in controlling or auditing within real estate. A German language proficiency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Fluency in German (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of IFRS; knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, auditing or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of auditing or controlling experience, preferably in real estate.
• Experience from real estate investments with private investors or funds is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial analysis and reporting with external partners, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and audited year-end financials per IFRS and/or HGB.
• Inform financial decision-making by budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Manage treasury activities, cash flow forecasting, and capital contributions/distributions.
• Drive operational excellence by refining workflows and improving processes across the platform.

The role

As a Financial Controller, you will work within an innovative real estate management platform contributing to the development of the company’s financial process’, think forward thinking digitalised analysis and reporting. You will quickly gain a high level of responsibility, and we will rely on you. You will work closely with various internal departments, such as the asset management, data, operations and portfolio strategy teams, international colleagues and external partners.

As a Financial Controller, you will work within an innovative real estate management platform contributing to the development of the company’s financial process’, think forward thinking digitalised analysis and reporting. You will quickly gain a high level of responsibility, and we will rely on you. You will work closely with various internal departments, such as the asset management, data, operations and portfolio strategy teams, international colleagues and external partners.

Main activities

• Lead and manage the financial analysis and reporting processes in conjunction with our external partners with a strong focus on quality, consistency and compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and audited year end financials to deliver clear and insightful financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and/or German GAAP (HGB).
• Inform financial decision-making by contributing to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Manage treasury activities, cash flow forecasting, and capital contributions and distributions to support effective financial management.
• Act as a self-starter in driving operational excellence by refining workflows, improving processes, and creating more efficient procedures across our real estate platform.

Required skills, experience and qualifications:

• Fluency in German (spoken and written) is a mandatory requirement for this role, candidates who do not meet this criterion cannot be considered.
• Strong understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). German GAAP HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch) knowledge and experience, it is a strong preference.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, auditing or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• At least 5 years of experience with auditing or controlling, preferably in real estate.
• Experience from a similar role at a private investor, pension fund or capital fund working with real estate investments is an advantage, but not a requirement.
