Job summary

Edge, a fast-growing real estate investor and developer, seeks a senior finance professional to manage all financial aspects of the Netherlands headquarters and projects. You will work closely with finance teams in Germany and the UK, improving processes, and driving excellence in reporting and consolidation.

The Dutch Finance team includes a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, and several specialists; you will contribute to budgets, cash flow, and intercompany activities in a dynamic,

Qualifications

• WO diploma in economics (RA or RC) is required.
• 6+ years in audit and/or real estate or project-oriented organizations.
• Experience in consolidations and reporting; project controlling preferred.
• Fluent Dutch and English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Business Controller with project administration and analyses.
• Draw up quarterly reports for business units, departments and the group.
• Prepare group cash flow analyses and review project cash flows.
• Draw up annual accounts and perform VAT returns.
• Coordinate yearly budget cycle and report group budgets.
• Monitor recharges to departments and manage payments.
• Maintain general ledger and intercompany reconciliations.
• Interface with accountants and managers on financial matters.

You will join a dynamic international team responsible for managing all financial aspects of our headquarters and projects based in the Netherlands. Collaborating closely with finance teams in Germany and the UK, this position offers a unique opportunity for a skilled finance professional to thrive in a young, innovative, and professional environment. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, the finance team is dedicated to continuously improving processes and systems, proactively proposing and implementing enhancements to drive excellence.

The team

The Dutch Finance team, in addition to the Financial Controller, consists of an Executive Finance Director, a Head of Finance, three Controllers, one Analyst, one Tax Specialist, and one Accounts Payable Specialist. The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Business Controller with project specific administration and analytical tasks.
• Draw up quarterly reports for business units, departments and the group
• Prepare group cash flow analysis + review project cash flows
• Drawing up annual accounts
• Monthly VAT returns and general ledger reconciliations
• Coordinating yearly budget cycle, responsible for executing and reporting group budgets
• Monitoring recharges to various departments and business units
• Coordinating and controlling payments
• Overall control over general ledger and IC reconciliation
• Monitoring IT systems MS Business Central and Exsion Corporate
• Performing intercompany transfers
• Point of contact for:
  • Accountant and advisers within the framework of annual accounts work
  • the business unit managers regarding financial issues
  • the German and the UK finance team regarding reporting and consolidation cycles

Job requirements

• WO diploma in economics (preferably RA or RC);
• >6 years' experience in similar position in audit and/or preferably in real estate or a related project-oriented organisation;
• Experience with consolidations and reporting;
• Preferably experience in business or project controlling
• Fluent in Dutch and English is a must have, German language skills is an advantage.
