Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
TicketSwap is hiring a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team in Amsterdam. You will own significant parts of the close process, drive improvements, and help build scalable finance operations with strong controls.
The role requires collaboration with FP&A, Product, Engineering and Operations. You will work in a fast-moving, international environment, handle VAT and regulatory reporting, and support auditors.
TicketSwap is on a journey to become the world’s favourite platform for fans to buy and sell tickets. We have already reached more than 20 million users across 42 countries, with a clear mission to make ticket resale safe, fair and easy.
As we continue to grow across markets, products and partnerships, our Finance team is becoming increasingly important in helping the business scale in a controlled, efficient and forward-looking way. We are now looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team and help us build a finance function that is ready for the next stage of growth.
As Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of TicketSwap’s financial information. You will be involved in month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, process improvement and day-to-day finance operations.
This is not a role where you simply process transactions and follow existing steps. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, spot where processes can be improved, and help us build smarter, more scalable ways of working. That includes better documentation, stronger controls, more automation, and thoughtful use of AI and new systems where they can reduce manual work and improve quality.
You will work closely with the Financial Accounting & Operations team, FP&A, and colleagues across the business. Over time, the exact responsibilities will be shaped around the needs of the team and the strengths of the person joining, but the role will sit firmly within accounting, finance operations and financial control.
We are looking for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with curiosity, ownership and a desire to improve how finance works.
You may be a good fit if you have:
Experience in a marketplace, platform, payments, SaaS, e-commerce, high-volume transaction environment or audit would be a plus, but is not required.
This role would suit someone who has built a strong accounting foundation and has hands on month-end close and operational accounting experience in a scale-up environment..
We are less focused on finding someone who has done every exact task before, and more focused on finding someone who is sharp, reliable, curious and motivated to help build a better finance function.
At TicketSwap, Finance is not just about closing the books. It is about building the foundation that helps the business grow safely, efficiently and sustainably.
Research shows that women and those in traditionally underrepresented groups tend to apply only if they check all the boxes. That’s a shame, as we want to build a diverse and inclusive team. If you know you’ve got what it takes but don’t quite meet every requirement for the role, we still encourage you to apply.
At TicketSwap, we welcome talent from all backgrounds, no matter your nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.
