Job summary

Huxley in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Projects Accountant / Business Analyst to join Global Payments Accounting. You will map data structures, test fund flows and design end-to-end accounting requirements for FinTech initiatives, bridging Finance, Product and Data Engineering.

In this hands-on role you will own month-end closing for new products, ensure accurate capture across financial systems, and collaborate with auditors to embed strong controls into processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Involvement in finance projects, system implementations, or product launches.
• Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving.
• Ability to translate complex product flows into accounting entries.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and US GAAP principles.
• Proactive, self-motivated in fast-paced environments.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Own the Accounting Blueprint: design, implement, and test financial data flows and scalable accounting structures.
• Bridge Finance & Technology: translate product logic into accounting, reporting, and controls.
• Documentation & Process Design: create detailed docs for processes, data schemas, and fund flows.
• Build Reporting Solutions: design, test, and implement automated reporting for new products.
• Support Product Launches: manage initial month-end closing for new initiatives until BAU.
• Solve Data & System Challenges: act as SME on transactional data and accounting/system issues.
• Ensure Compliance & Controls: work with auditors to embed controls in new processes.
