Job summary

The Apex Group is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee client portfolios and lead a team of Financials and Support Officers, in coordination with the Client Director. The role focuses on planning, reporting, and ensuring compliance with Dutch and financial regulations.

Ideal candidates hold HBO level or higher, with strong English communication and analytical skills, and a track record in financial services.

Qualifications

• At least a completed education at HBO level (SPD / HEAO-BE / BA / AC) or university.
• Knowledge of Dutch law.
• Knowledge of relevant (supervisory) laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of relevant tax legislation and financial legislation, IFRS is a plus.
• At least 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the financial service industry.
• Good assessment level and high level of client responsibility.
• Helicopter view to connect issues with other disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills: English in business contexts; able to present in different situations.
• Analytical ability and numerical insight.

Responsibilities

• Manage own client portfolio together with Junior, Medior and Senior Financials.
• Guide, assess and motivate the team and plan activities with the Client Director.
• Act as back-up of the Client Director regarding team matters.
• Assist clients in Dutch company law, and in fiscal/financial areas.
• Attend and participate in client board meetings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable supervisory legislation and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risk in processes and transactions.
• Handle payments authorization, cash management, and monitor money flows per client.
• Propose new products and contribute to their implementation.
• Contribute to expansion of the client portfolio.
