Job summary

PPHE Hotel Group is offering a Finance Intern position at its regional Netherlands Office. You will support the Hotel Business Control team with financial reporting, cost control projects, and day-to-day accounting activities across six hotels in the Netherlands.

The role requires enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a related field, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English. You will travel between Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht and Eindhoven as needed, gaining hands-on experience in

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or related field.
• Available for a minimum internship period of five months.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with an eagerness to develop advanced Excel capabilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business control analyses, reports, and presentations under the guidance of the Hotel Business Controllers.
• Support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting activities.
• Assist with projects relating to Rooms and Food & Beverage cost control across the Dutch portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting quality.
• Support income audit activities and revenue verification processes.
• Assist with accounts payable and purchase-to-pay processes.
• Assist with accounts receivable and order-to-cash processes.
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Assist with procurement systems, including Fourth and Adaco.
• Follow up on purchasing and requisition queries and elevate issues where required.
• Collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple hotel locations.
• Gain exposure to commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business performance reviews.
