bp in Rotterdam Refinery seeks a Finance Control Manager to be the on-site finance expert, ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting, and trusted advice to business and operations. You’ll partner with operations, support major projects, and drive improvements across the refinery.

You are an experienced finance professional who takes ownership, identifies risks early, builds stakeholder relationships, and pushes for continuous improvement to create real business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance Control, Financial Accounting, Audit, Business Finance, or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, reporting requirements, and risk management.
• Fluent Dutch and English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting in line with Group requirements.
• Act as trusted finance advisor to business and operations on accounting, controls, leases, accurals, and authority.
• Support major capital projects, acquisitions, disposals with financial insights.
• Identify risks and drive actions to mitigate them.
• Lead quarterly close activities and support audits.
• Partner across refinery to improve processes and strengthen controls.
• Drive simplification, standardization, and improvement in ways of working.
• Provide independent advice to support sound business decisions.
