Job summary

Odyssey Hotel Group is seeking a Finance Associate to ensure accurate data processing and collaborate with the central Finance team in Utrecht. You will be part of the hotel team while contributing to overall financial operations.

You will support monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, budgeting, forecasts, and audits, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role combines finance insight with hospitality operations in a fast-growing European group.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting, tax, finance, audit, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Good spoken and written English is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Fairmas is a plus.
• Natural aptitude for analysis and working with numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes including variance analysis and financial modelling.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close with timely reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation compliant with policies and regulations.
• Conduct profitability, cost, and ROI analyses to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with departments to collect financial information and provide insights.

THE ROLE

As a Finance Associate, you ensure the accurate processing of data and information. You do not only look at the numbers, but also consider the operational perspective and make sure the correct supporting information is in place.

You are responsible for the coordination, planning, and monitoring of business and financial processes.

As a Finance Associate, you are part of the hotel team, while also working closely with the central Finance team in Utrecht.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial modeling.

• Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and ROI analysis.

• Collaborate with various departments to collect financial information and provide insights on financial performance.

• Assist in the management of accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely processing of transactions.

• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Engage in continuous learning to stay current with industry trends and best practices in financial management.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Knowledge of accounting, tax, finance, audit, and relevant laws and regulations.
