Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Finance Process Analyst, Process Analyst or similar.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience creating process documentation, workflows or process maps.
• Exposure to finance operations or a finance transformation environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with finance and business stakeholders to understand current processes and requirements.

Finance & Systems Analyst | Amsterdam | Media

Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Finance & Systems Analyst to join an international Media business based in Amsterdam for a 12 month interim assignment.

Working closely with business and finance stakeholders, the successful candidate will analyse existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and help design future-state ways of working. A key focus of the role will be identifying opportunities to drive standardisation, automation and efficiency through technologies including AI, RPA and low-code solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years' experience who is looking to develop their career within business analysis, finance transformation and emerging technology.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work closely with business and finance stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and business requirements.
• Analyse and document as-is processes, identifying inefficiencies, duplication and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the design and documentation of future-state processes and operating models.
• Gather, challenge and translate business requirements into clear and actionable solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process standardisation, automation and digitalisation.
• Explore the application of technologies such as AI, RPA and low-code platforms to improve processes and reduce manual activity.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across finance and wider business functions to support transformation initiatives.
• Produce clear process maps, requirements documentation and supporting analysis.
• Support the implementation of new processes and technology solutions, helping to ensure successful adoption.
• Track improvements and help demonstrate the benefits delivered through transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organisation.

About You

We are looking for someone who is analytical, curious and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in improving how businesses operate. You will ideally have:

• 3-4 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Finance Process Analyst, Process Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Strong understanding of process analysis and process improvement.
• Experience creating process documentation, workflows or process maps.
• Exposure to finance operations, shared services or a finance transformation environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A genuine interest in automation, digital transformation and emerging technologies.
• Curiosity about how AI, RPA and low-code technologies can be used to improve business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a global organisation.
