Job summary

GoSpooky in Amsterdam is seeking a Finance & Administration Intern to support the Finance department, keeping operations organized and efficient. You will work closely with the Senior Finance & Administration Officer as part of the Business Support team and learn how finance operates in a project-based agency.

• Currently studying Accounting or Finance in a related field.
• Based in the Netherlands with a EU university enrollment and Dutch BSN.
• Available 32–40 hours per week and able to work from Amsterdam office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Support processing of purchase and sales invoices and payments.
• Assist with general ledger administration and suspense accounts monitoring.
• Help prepare weekly payments and assist with period closures.
• Provide basic finance support to the team and respond to user questions.

The role

As our Finance & Administration Intern, you'll get hands-on experience keeping our Finance department well-organised and efficient. You'll support day-to-day administration and work closely with, and report to, our Senior Finance & Administration Officer, as part of the Business Support team. This is a great opportunity to learn how finance operations work inside a project-based agency, while helping our Spookies with their finance questions along the way.

This is a full-time internship of 32-40 hours per week, for 6 months with a start date in mid-September 2026.

What you'll do

• Support the processing of purchase invoices, sales invoices and payments via our bank accounts
• Help monitor and check general ledger administration and suspense accounts
• Assist with preparing weekly payments
• Support periodic closures and reporting
• Act as a point of contact for simple finance questions from our Spookies, under guidance

What we're looking for

You are:

• Currently studying in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Based in the Netherlands, enrolled in a university in the EU (throughout the entire internship period), and in possession of a Dutch BSN
• Available 32-40 hours per week, and happy to join us in the Amsterdam office at least 3 days a week
• Interested in agency life and project-based work
• Accurate, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
• A great communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
• Thriving in a lively, social and diverse environment
• Familiar with Dutch laws and regulations (a plus, but not required)
