Trengo in Utrecht is seeking an Interim Junior Financial Controller to support daily accounting and month-end reporting. This 6-month assignment (with possible extension) requires 24 hours per week starting mid-November/early December.

You will report to the Financial Controller and contribute to audit preparation, budgeting analysis, and process improvements. The role blends hands-on bookkeeping with reporting tasks in a scale-up environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or working towards ACCA/CIMA)
• 1–2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration
• Comfortable with daily bookkeeping/accounting tasks and eager to gain exposure to reporting and audit work
• Basic understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting concepts
• Good Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables) and general comfort with accounting software
• Organised, reliable, and comfortable working closely with and taking direction from a Financial Controller
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English
• Available for a minimum 6-month assignment, starting mid-November/early December
• Available for 24–32 hours per week (flexible)

We are looking for an Interim Junior Financial Controller to join our finance team on a temporary basis. This is a minimum 6-month assignment (with possible extension), starting mid-November/early December, for 24 hours per week.

This is a hands-on role for a finance professional who is comfortable with daily accounting work while also contributing to month-end reporting and audit preparation. You will report directly to the Financial Controller and act as an extra set of hands across reporting, daily accounting, and audit support.
