Job summary

JD.COM is seeking a Field Services Engineer to install, commission, and maintain EV chargers, residential solar PV systems, and home battery storage. You will also install major household appliances and ensure electrical integration, wiring accuracy, and safety compliance at customer sites.

The role requires strong problem-solving, reading electrical diagrams, and excellent communication. A driver’s license is required, with English fluency and Dutch preferred for local sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Electrical/Power/ Renewable Energy Engineering (HBO).
• 1+ years in technical or field-service environments.
• Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and wiring.
• Certifications: NEN 1010, NEN 3140, VCA Basic (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with EV chargers, solar PV, home storage, or major appliances.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and installation manuals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license; English required, Dutch preferred.

Field Services Engineer – EV Chargers, Solar Systems, Home Battery Storage & Electrical Home Appliances

Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EV chargers, residential solar systems, home battery energy storage, and major electrical home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers etc. This role requires strong technical expertise, customer‑focused communication, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• EV Charger Installation – Install, configure, test, and commission residential EV charging systems according to technical specifications and safety regulations
• Solar System Installation – Perform complete installation of residential solar PV systems, including mounting components, connecting inverters, wiring, and ensuring compliance with electrical standards
• Home Battery Installation – Install and integrate residential battery storage systems with existing solar and EV charging equipment
• Electrical Appliance Installation – Install, connect, and test major household electrical appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, etc.) and ensure proper electrical integration
• Conduct on‑site technical assessments and provide clear installation recommendations
• Ensure all work complies with NEN standards and company safety procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, site reports, and technical findings

Provide basic customer guidance on system operation after installation

Required Qualifications

• HBO (Applied sciences Bachelor's degree) in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Renewable Energy Engineering
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in technical or field‑service environments
• Strong understanding of residential electrical systems, wiring, and installation practices
• Required Certifications: Already hold these certifications NEN 1010, NEN 3140, and VCA Basic or be willing to obtain them
• Experience with installation of EV chargers, solar PV systems, home battery storage, or major household appliances
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and installation manuals
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple installation visits per day
• Valid driver's license
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is highly preferred
