Ranpak is seeking a UK-based, home‑based Field Service Engineer to install, service and maintain paper‑based packaging machines across the country. You’ll travel from home to customer sites, plan visits and coordinate with European teams, acting as the technical contact in the UK.

As our Field Service Engineer in the UK, you will be Ranpak’s technical representative at customer sites across the country. This is a stand‑alone field position, giving you a high level of independence and responsibility while staying closely connected with our European Service and Sales teams.
Install, commission, service and maintain Ranpak machines and integrations at customer sites throughout the UK.
Diagnose technical issues and minimise downtime through preventive maintenance and practical troubleshooting.
Carry out repairs and technical modifications where required.
Train customer operators and provide practical technical guidance on the correct use of Ranpak equipment.
Support distributors and Sales colleagues with technical expertise when needed.
Manage your own service visits, planning and priorities across your assigned customer base.
Record service activities and technical information in SAP and share relevant feedback with internal teams.
Act as Ranpak’s technical point of contact in the UK and build strong, professional relationships with customers.
This is a UK-based, home‑based Field Service position.
You will travel directly from home to customer sites using a company vehicle.
Your main territory will be the UK, with a strong customer presence in the Midlands and surrounding regions.
Regular travel and customer visits are part of the role.
Occasional overnight stays and travel elsewhere in Europe may be required for training, meetings or technical support.
You will work independently in the UK while receiving support from Ranpak colleagues across Europe.
A technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field.
Hands‑on experience working with machinery, production equipment or technical installations.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; electrical knowledge is an advantage.
The confidence to work independently and take ownership of technical issues at customer sites.
A practical and customer‑focused approach.
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly to customers.
Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK.
A full UK driving licence.
English is the working language for this position.
You should be comfortable communicating with customers and international colleagues in English.
