Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Field Service Representative to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and component replacement on industrial turbine and package systems at customer sites.

The role involves extensive travel and field-based work, following established safety and maintenance procedures. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, documenting findings, borescope inspections, and supporting major component exchanges.

Qualifications

• Vocational education or technical apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or industrial maintenance.
• Field service, maintenance, or industrial operations experience preferred.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to maintenance protocols and work instructions.
• Replace consumable components such as oil, gas, and air filters etc.
• Inspect equipment condition and document findings using photographs and digital reporting tools.
• Verify the correct operation of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Perform borescope inspections and record inspection results.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment failures and out-of-service events.
• Replace faulty parts and components as required.
• Support major component exchanges, including turbines, gearboxes, and generators during scheduled or corrective maintenance.
• Use company software, service tools, and digital systems to record maintenance activities and findings.
• Follow all site safety rules and company procedures while working independently or as part of a team.
