Job summary

Resolvo Engineering B.V. seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair hydraulic and mechanical ship systems. You will inspect steering gears, diagnose malfunctions, and perform tests and balancing of installations. Paperwork for service and inspection reports is part of the role.

You should have a technical background and hands-on experience as a service technician, with Dutch fluency and some English. Willingness to take on-call duties is required.

Qualifications

• You have a technical background in mechanical engineering, vehicles, hydraulics, or service.
• You have experience as a service technician or similar technical position.
• Dutch language required; English preferred.
• You are willing to participate in on-call service and standby shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic, mechanical and partial electrical installations on ships.
• Inspect steering gears and systems; test, adjust and balance installations.
• Prepare service and inspection reports after each job.
• Work on-site at various locations and support overseas projects when needed.

Field Service Engineer

What are you going to do?

As a Service Engineer you will be involved in installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic, mechanical, and partially electrical installations on board ships. You will perform inspections on steering gears and systems. Resolving malfunctions and performing repairs; Testing, adjusting and balancing installations is also a huge part of the job. A little bit of paper work does not scare you, because after the job is done service and inspection reports are necessary to present.

Who are you?

• You have a technical background, for example in mechanical engineering, vehicles, hydraulics, mechanics, or service;
• You have experience as a service technician, breakdown technician, automotive mechanic, truck mechanic or in a similar technical position;
• Experience in maritime sector is a plus, but not a must;
• You can independently analyze malfunctions and perform technical repairs;
• You have a practical mindset and enjoy working at different locations;
• You communicate respectfully. Good command of Dutch and preferably English;
• You are willing to participate in the on-call service;

• You don’t mind standby shifts (once every 6 weeks).

What do we offer?

• Standart working hours 7:45 to 16:30, with reasonable flexibility;
