Field Service Engineer – Gas (m/f)

Fulltime | 40 hours per week

In the role of Field Service Engineer, you maintain a strong overview of complex gas engine systems and their associated mechanical, control, and automation components. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you play a key role in ensuring that our gas engines and gensets achieve and maintain optimal performance. This requires a solid understanding of gas engine operation, combustion, and control systems, as well as the ability to identify practical and effective solutions within defined technical boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and ensure the performance, reliability, and integrity of gas engines, generator sets, and related systems; perform preventive and corrective maintenance on both mechanical engine components and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve system failures of a mechanical, electronic, or control‑related nature, and document findings and solutions in clear service reports.
• Inspect the material condition of engines, auxiliary systems, and equipment, and verify engineering solutions to address wear, aging, or obsolescence issues.
• Perform accurate fault diagnosis and service activities using advanced diagnostic tools and engine monitoring systems.

Your Competences

• Completed degree (min. MBO3‑4) in a technical direction, preferably engine related.
• At least 2‑5 years of work experience, preferably in a comparable environment (knowledge of gas engines, gensets or electrical system of gensets).
• Technical knowledge and experience in the field of control and automation systems.
• Ability to work with computers, electronic control systems and measuring equipment.
• Good reporting skills in English.
• Customer‑friendly, solution‑oriented, a team player, able to work independently, with a professional appearance and communicative.
