Job summary

Intelic, based in Amsterdam, is seeking backend/infrastructure engineers to own CI/CD pipelines, installers, and the offline-to-online deployment lifecycle for Nexus in defense software. You will work with Linux and Windows, focusing on secure, auditable build processes and a hardened software supply chain.

The role emphasizes building internal tooling, on-prem infrastructure, and incident response, offering real ownership from day one in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• CI/CD pipelines and build automation experience required.
• Ability to debug on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Ansible, OpenTofu, or similar).
• Security mindset: secure defaults and attack surface awareness.
• Scripting or programming ability in Python, Rust, or shell.
• Ability to stay calm and prioritize under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to create installable, field-ready software across Linux and Windows.
• Harden the software supply chain with dependency scanning and package security.
• Own Windows installer and service orchestration; assist developers with platform-specific issues.
• Secure the update server and ensure telemetry is reliable without exposing data.
• Harden APIs and authentication facing the outside world.
• Maintain and gradually take over on-prem infrastructure and backups.
• Create internal tools in Python, Rust, or shell scripts.
• Assist incident response and build proactive monitoring.
