Field Engineer: Turbo Machinery Controls & Systems

Job summary

CCC is seeking a qualified engineer to support pre-commissioning, testing, and remote technical assistance for turbomachinery control systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, training customers, and adhering to safety policies across extensive travel.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, 3–5 years' experience with turbo machinery, and offshore certification readiness; English is required with Dutch preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience with turbo machinery control systems (compressors, turbines, expanders, generators).
• Understand basic electrical principles.
• Proficiency with computers and networking; programming skills are a plus.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to projects.
• Basic training skills preferred.
• Experience with safety systems and/or TUV certification is a plus.
• English required; Dutch preferred; other languages a plus.
• Certified to work offshore or willing to complete required training.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commissioning activities including system checkout, instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and communication testing.
• Test and tune including machinery testing, control loop tuning and troubleshooting.
• Remote technical support, systems engineering support and troubleshooting.
• Prepare administrative (expenses, reports, etc.) and aftermarket support.
• Customer training.
• Collaborate with departments cross functionally to support lifecycle of products and customer experience.
• Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
