Job summary

AQUABATTERY is seeking a Process Operations Engineer to run and maintain field pilots and in-house lab systems. You will design tests for multi-stack pilots, bridging lab-scale R&D with field deployment to derive insights for battery operation.

The role involves traveling across the Netherlands, performing analyses, and contributing to test design, data quality, and control development as operations mature.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in process, pilot plant, R&D or operations engineering.
• Experience designing and executing experiments.
• Hands-on work on industrial systems (pumps, valves, sensors).
• Strong data analysis; Python or Matlab a plus.
• Knowledge of process control loops and PLC systems.
• Ability to read P&ID and Process Flow Diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Design test protocols for multi-stack systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Turn development targets into test plans, specifying learning goals and measurements.
• Link field experiments with lab work and feed insights back into the lab.
• Coordinate planned work with lab, stack, electrical and software colleagues.
• Write and maintain SOPs and test reports documenting results.
