Job summary

DARA PEOPLE LTD. is seeking a Dutch-speaking FEP Permitting Support Specialist to work within the Front End Planning team in the Netherlands.

You will help identify permitting risks, regulatory bottlenecks, and schedule delays before they impact project delivery, coordinating with permitting, engineering, land and legal teams. Ideal candidates will be fluent in Dutch and English and have experience in permitting or regulatory processes, with knowledge of the Omgevingswet and a strong ability to

Responsibilities

• Identify permitting, zoning and environmental roadblocks during early-stage development.
• Review permitting timelines and highlight critical-path risks.
• Support permitting strategy within Front End Planning (FEP).
• Assist with technical documentation for permit applications.
• Track permit submissions, authority responses and outstanding actions.
• Coordinate with Dutch local and national authorities.
• Coordinate information across engineering, land, legal and project teams.
• Identify opportunities to reduce permitting lead times and protect construction schedules.

Job description

An opportunity to join a major data centre development programme in the Netherlands, supporting projects during the critical early stages of development.

We are looking for a Dutch-speaking FEP Permitting Support Specialist to work within the Front End Planning team, helping identify permitting risks, regulatory bottlenecks and potential schedule delays before they impact project delivery.

The Role

Working closely with permitting, engineering, land and legal teams, you will help de-risk development programmes and keep permitting activities aligned with critical project milestones.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify potential permitting, zoning and environmental roadblocks during early-stage development
• Review permitting timelines and highlight critical-path risks
• Support permitting strategy within Front End Planning (FEP)
• Assist with technical documentation required for permit applications
• Track permit submissions, authority responses and outstanding actions
• Support coordination with Dutch local and national authorities
• Coordinate information across engineering, land, legal and project teams
• Help identify opportunities to reduce permitting lead times and protect construction schedules

About You

You will ideally have:

• Fluent Dutch and English – essential
• Experience supporting permitting, planning, development or regulatory processes
• Understanding of the Dutch planning environment, ideally including the Omgevingswet
• Experience identifying programme risks and working with project schedules
• Strong coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Exposure to utility connections and infrastructure development
• Experience within data centres, major infrastructure, energy, industrial or other complex developments

Previous hyperscale data centre experience would be advantageous but is not essential where there is strong transferable infrastructure experience.
