Job summary

ThunderSoft seeks an experienced engineer to oversee reliable operation of BMS/EPMS systems across overseas data centers. You will coordinate Facility Manager and Field Engineer teams to maintain CMDB topology, perform audits, and ensure data accuracy while driving EMS discovery and optimization.

You will lead alarm deduplication, EOP linkage, and drills for emergency response, and roll out automation technologies to guarantee stable operation of equipment across sites.

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration across departments and cultures.
• Hands-on with BMS/EPMS systems and common protocols.
• Experience in data-center operations and maintenance management or quality engineering.
• Proficient in English; Mandarin is a plus; able to document technically in English.

Job description

• Ensure reliability for operational data ingestion of BMS / EPMS systems within overseas data centers.
• Coordinate local FM (Facility Manager) and FE (Field Engineer) teams to build CMDB topology diagrams, conduct spot audits, and maintain ongoing data accuracy.
• Drive local teams to perform EMS measurement‑point discovery, data onboarding, governance and continuous optimization.
• Work with local FM/FE teams to implement alarm deduplication, EOP (Emergency Operating Procedure) linkage, and develop & conduct drills for emergency response execution strategies.
• Lead technical optimization assessments for building automation & control discipline; develop standardized solutions for recurring technical issues.
• Roll out key automation‑control technologies across global data‑center sites, to guarantee stable operation of equipment automation controls.
• Oversee vendors’ on‑site change activities; take end‑to‑end ownership for system deployment, commissioning, adoption, tuning and policy configuration.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, HVAC, Computer Science or other related disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience, including at least 3 years in data‑center operation & maintenance management or quality engineering roles.
• Familiar with automation‑control system architecture and operational logic, with understanding of logic optimization measures.
• Proficient in BMS / EPMS systems and infrastructure equipment; hands‑on knowledge of mainstream communication protocols including Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, MQTT, etc.
• Capable of system deployment, commissioning, operation, optimization and strategy configuration. Experience in code / script development (Python, Shell, etc.) is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in English (Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus); able to conduct independent on‑site technical communication in oversea sites and compose technical documentation in English.
• Strong cross‑department, cross‑team and cross‑cultural collaboration skills, with solid execution capability and sense of responsibility.
• Work closely with local FM/FE teams to drive the implementation of IDC control systems from monitoring to automation‑control capabilities.
