Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas within a building or multiple client sites. The role requires flexibility to meet client specifications and may involve varied shifts.

The position offers $16 per hour with a schedule that runs Mon-Sun 6a-11a totaling 35 hours per week, supporting steady, reliable work in janitorial management for commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent OR 6 months janitorial experience.
• Attention to detail required; ability to follow instructions precisely.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming).
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entry areas.
• Empty trash and manage waste; operate compactors as needed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies; follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, buffers).
• Perform other duties as required by scope of work or client needs.

Education
