Job summary

Xebia Microsoft Services (XMS) is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and Power BI. You will guide clients through Fabric adoption, define end-to-end data architectures, and collaborate with Azure services.

With 4–8+ years in data engineering or consultancy, you will translate complex requirements into scalable pipelines, ensure governance, and mentor stakeholders while delivering practical, architecture-driven results.

Qualifications

  • 4–8+ years of data engineering, cloud analytics, or consultancy experience.
  • Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric components: OneLake, Lakehouse, Spark, Data Factory, KQL/Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI.
  • Strong data engineering skills in Python, SQL, Spark, Delta Lake, and distributed compute.
  • Familiarity with the Azure data ecosystem (ADLS, Event Hub, Synapse, Azure Functions, Entra ID, security principles).
  • Understanding governance practices: metadata, lineage, quality frameworks, domain-driven design.
  • Microsoft certifications (DP-600, DP-203, AZ-305, PL-300) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end data architectures using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, Power BI).
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and notebooks using Spark, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, and ELT/ETL best practices.
  • Define governance frameworks: domains, workspaces, OneLake structures, cataloging, lineage, and security.
  • Create high-quality semantic models and datasets to empower BI teams and real-time analytics use cases.
  • Integrate Fabric with Azure services such as ADLS, Event Hub, Azure SQL, Databricks, and Purview.
  • Guide stakeholders through Fabric adoption with workshops, assessments, PoCs, and knowledge transfer.

Responsabilities
  • Solution Design & Architecture: Designing end-to-end data architectures using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, Power BI).

  • Stakeholder Enablement: Guiding stakeholders through Fabric adoption with workshops, assessments, PoCs, and knowledge transfer.

This includes
  • 4–8+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud analytics, or consultancy roles
