Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam North Riverside is seeking a Management Trainee to join our Food & Beverage team. You’ll gain hands-on operations experience while developing leadership skills for a future managerial role.

As part of Odyssey Hotel Group, you’ll work with a diverse, international team and benefit from an internship allowance of €420 per month, travel allowance of €80 per month, complimentary lunch, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MBO/HBO degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
• Affinity for hotels and hospitality, with an eagerness to grow into a leadership role.
• Fluency in English (Dutch proficiency is an advantage).
• Eligibility to work in the EU/EEA; visas and sponsorships are not provided.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in bar, restaurant, and breakfast areas, ensuring smooth service delivery and team efficiency.
• Assist with staff supervision, including task delegation, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Support management in implementing hotel standards, operational processes, and service improvements.
• Take ownership of training and mentoring team members to maintain a high standard of service.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for operational and guest experience enhancements.
• Assist with inventory management, cost control, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to strategic planning by analyzing guest feedback and operational data to optimize processes.
