Generator Amsterdam is seeking an exceptional food & beverage team member to help deliver unforgettable hospitality in a fast-paced, globally inspired space. You will contribute across Bar, Café or Kitchen outlets, bringing energy, warmth and a genuine love of coffee, craft beer and great food.

Responsibilities

• Report to the F&B Supervisor/Manager.
• Be assigned to a department, either Bar, Café or Kitchen, but you may cross over to other outlets temporarily or permanently depending on your skills, ambitions and business requirements.
• Have sound knowledge and experience working with great coffee and food with the courage to offer something a little different to the Generator guest.
• Take ownership of the guest journey to ensure that we create a truly unique Generator experience.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to all customer requests and enquiries, ensuring that you maintain a "can do" attitude at all times
• Ensure you comply with all company policies you have been trained on, which include Fire Training and Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
• Be responsible for all cash handling whilst you are on duty
• Be part of a great team within your department that get Generator and want to be themselves
• Know your customers like you know your friends

About Generator Amsterdam

Winner of the Hospitality Design Best Economy Hotel Award. Ride your bicycle along café-lined waterways, visit the most creative shops around De Pijp or just kick back by the canal and try a few cold Dutch beers. It's pretty hard to get stressed in Amsterdam, but having a good time is easy. Generator Amsterdam is located in the up-and-coming eastern side of the city overlooking Oosterpark. This former zoological university building can accommodate 564 guests in 168 twin and quadruple rooms with incredible views on the surrounding and en-suite bathrooms. There is also one luxury apartment for six people with views of the park and a self-catered kitchen. It has flexible and spacious social areas, filled with creative design touches like glass-fronted elevators, a raised café and an outdoor terrace. We've turned the former lecture hall into an impressive chill-out lounge and bar, while the old library is now a relaxation and private events room. The basement and café are now dining destinations and the original boiler room has become a secret late-night bar.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB
