Job summary

almavivadebelgique in The Hague, Netherlands, is seeking an Expert IT Infrastructure professional to lead deployment, support and maintenance of enterprise applications in production and non-production environments.

You will install, configure, monitor and optimize applications, automate admin tasks, manage incidents and changes, and contribute to the knowledgebase with procedures and troubleshooting guides. EU citizens only; deadline 14/09/26; near-site delivery in The Hague.

Qualifications

• Extensive IT infrastructure and application administration experience.
• Proven incident, change and release management expertise.
• Hands-on with micro-services and container stacks (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills and automation mindset (Shell/PowerShell).
• Experience with Elasticsearch and enterprise server solutions.

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration and admin of applications in prod and non-prod envs.
• Monitor, tune and improve performance and quality of service.
• Support and maintain applications including incident and change processes.
• Create and validate runbooks, backup/restore plans, troubleshooting guides.
• Automate recurring admin tasks and document tech procedures.
• Contribute to knowledgebase and reporting on availability and usage.

Job description

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED

• Application installation, configuration and administration in production and non-production environments;
• Application monitoring, performance tuning and continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of service;
• Applications support and maintenance activities such as incident, change, release and problem resolution;
• Writing and validating application procedures manuals, including troubleshooting guides, backup and restore plans;
• Automating administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide installation and technical support documentation where required;
• Contributing to the structuring, maintenance and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting the ICT Operations activities;
• Eeporting on application availability, performance, capacity and overall usage where required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Min 15 years of IT Experience
• A minimum of 6 years of experience working as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support and maintenance of applications.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an IT professional in the area of application administration
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration and container-based stacks such as Docker or Kubernetes
• A minimum of 2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Public or Hybrid Cloud services and solutions (AZURE or AWS).
• Good knowledge of the deployment and administration of Elasticsearch clusters
• Good knowledge of micro-services, container orchestration and container-based stacks using Kubernetes, Helm charts, Docker and Rancher
• Good knowledge of configuration management concepts and technologies (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chocolatey)
• Good knowledge of shell and/or PowerShell scripting
• Good knowledge of ITIL, including the incident, change and release management processes
