Job summary

Sligro Food Group in the Netherlands is seeking an order picker and loader to sort, place, scan, and load fresh products. You will work nights 3-4 shifts weekly, with additional evening shifts offered after training.

Warehouses are cool at around +4ºC. Training is provided by a Staff Buddy, and protective clothing is supplied. You may be assigned to multiple locations nationwide, with emphasis on accuracy and speed to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• CV in English is required and must include a correct e-mail, phone number, and home country address for health insurance purposes.
• Follow safety rules, no visible piercings.
• Willingness to work multiple shifts and stay in the Netherlands for at least 1 year.
• English skills at a communicative level to discuss work, past experiences, and ask questions.

Responsibilities

• Quantify and control the quality of collected products.
• Sort, place on route, and scan the (fresh) products that came in at night.
• Move roll containers to the loading location.
• Identify possible deviations and take the correct follow-up actions.
• Transfer valuable orders to the driver using a pocket computer.

Our partner, Sligro Food Group, consists of many companies that specifically focus on the food service market in the Netherlands and Belgium. They are offering a comprehensive range of food, food-related, and non-food products and services in the wholesale market.

As an order picker and loader, you will be responsible for sorting, placing, scanning, and loading fresh products. To ensure that orders are prepared for shipping on time, keep in mind that this department operates under strict deadlines. Work is 3-4 night shifts weekly (due to legal night shift law), after training there will be option to get additional evening shifts. Warehouses operate under strict deadlines to ensure timely shipping of fresh products. In all locations, most departments operate in cooler areas around +4ºC. Protective clothing is provided free of charge. Possible work locations include: Veghel, Vianen, Venray, Amsterdam, Berkel en Rodenrijs, Maastricht, Breda, Deventer, Nieuwegein, and Gilze. Please note: Sligro warehouses supply restaurants, hotels, bars, and other food service businesses with a wide range of products, non-food items, food products, beverages, pork products, and alcoholic drinks. Employees may be required to handle all product categories.

Main Responsibilities

• Quantify and control the quality of collected products;

Allowances and Pay

• Starting gross hourly wage: + 10.5% holiday allowance
• Approximate net weekly pay: €450
• Cold area allowance: +€0.49 (cool zone) +€1.31 (freezer zone)
• Shift allowances: Mon–Fri: from 125% to 150% in irregular hours; Saturday (00:00–12:00): 150% Saturday (after 12:00): 200% Sundays and public holidays: 200%

Requirements

• Healthy and Ready to face cooler temperatures and work in fridge areas +4ºC; Team player and able to work independently at a fast pace with minimum error rate; Ready to stay in the Netherlands for at least 1 year.
• Willingness to live and work with multiple nationalities.
• English skills at communicative level, able to understand and speak about work, past experiences and ask questions.
