European Finance Accountant - AR/AP, VAT & Close

Job summary

InBody seeks a hands-on Financial Accountant to manage daily finance operations for our Dutch entity. You will handle bank postings, AR/AP, monthly closings, VAT compliance, and audit readiness, ensuring accurate, timely financial records under Dutch GAAP.

You will work independently, coordinate with Sales Administration and other European entities, and contribute to process improvements and group reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Accounting/Finance (HBO/WO).
• 4-5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably international.
• Experience in daily finance operations, bank reconciliation, AR/AP, month-end closing.
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP or IFRS and Dutch VAT requirements.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting systems (Exact Online preferred).
• Independent worker with good deadline management and cross-functional communication.
• Professional English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance transactions: bank postings, customer receipts, supplier payments, and GL entries.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain AR and AP ledgers; ensure timely postings and approvals.
• Review invoices, allocations, and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Prepare payment proposals and support payment runs with controls.
• Monitor cash movements and keep accurate records of receipts/payments.
