Job summary

Open Bank, S.A., Branche Nederland in the Netherlands seeks a Financial Accountant (GL) to ensure accurate general ledger processing and timely month-end close. You will support VAT/CIT filings and collaborate with the Belgium branch, while driving IFRS reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, preferably in financial services or consumer finance.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Knowledge of lending, credit products, and related processes preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good command of Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely processing of financial data, including general ledger, AR/AP, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and deliver internal and external financial reports, including VAT and CIT filings.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports per deadlines and quality standards.
• Provide balance sheet and P/L information to Head Office in IFRS compliance.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and audit responses.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls.
