Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a Senior Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting across multiple European entities and ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role focuses on consolidations, intercompany activity, VAT coordination, and collaboration with auditors and advisors in a fast-growing Life Sciences environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Dutch and able to communicate effectively across European teams.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant multi-entity or international accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP; IFRS preferred
• Experience with ERP systems and financial tools
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment

Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase invoices, manage bank transactions, and reconcile accounts across multiple entities
• Execute monthly closing activities, prepare consolidations, and post journal entries
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Coordinate VAT reclaims, support statutory reporting, and liaise with external auditors and advisors
• Manage intercompany transactions, including cash-in-transit and interest calculations
• Maintain and update fixed asset registers and employee expense reports
