Job summary

AbbVie in Europe is seeking an Associate Director for Regulatory Policy & Intelligence (RPI). You will drive policy analysis, develop positions, and coordinate cross-functional responses to HA consultations across Europe.

Reporting to Head of Europe Regulatory Policy & Intelligence, you will build relationships with health authorities, industry groups, and trade associations to advocate AbbVie's scientific position while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with R&D priorities.

Qualifications

• Degrees in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a relevant master's/PhD preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry or with a health authority required.
• Policy and intelligence experience including trade associations.
• Robust knowledge of healthcare regulations for drug development.
• Experience in matrix environments and policy influence.
• Excellent communication translating data into insights.
• Established regulatory network across European countries.
• Experience with medicines and devices a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional topics in regulatory policy and intelligence.
• Analyze proposed policies and communicate impact of trends.
• Prepare and present complex reports to Senior Management.
• Negotiate policy issues and advise on paths.
• Liaise with trade associations on scientific and regulatory issues.
• Support discussions with senior management at trade associations.
• Contribute to regulatory product development strategy.
• Conduct external outreach with regulators and peers.
