Job summary

FoodChain ID in Deventer is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to guide clients through the EU PPWR and sustainable packaging compliance landscape, translating regulatory requirements into actionable guidance. You’ll lead roadmaps, run workshops, create recyclability assessments, and help co-develop software that supports PPWR compliance and other sustainability initiatives.

Fluency in English is required; Dutch, French, or German are a plus; office presence in Deventer is supported by a hybrid

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in sustainable packaging compliance, regulatory affairs, or circular economy initiatives.
Deep expertise in PPWR and its implications for different packaging types.
Proven ability to translate complex regulations into practical business advice.
Project management experience in cross-functional teams.
Fluency in English; Dutch/French/German a plus.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on PPWR requirements and how to meet them.
Develop and implement PPWR compliance roadmaps, including gap analyses.
Train clients via workshops and webinars.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to co-develop software for PPWR compliance.
Translate regulatory updates into actionable client guidance.
Monitor regulatory changes and translate into guidance for clients.
