Job summary

Oaklins is offering an Equity & ECM Advisory internship in Amsterdam for graduates aiming to start a career in corporate finance. The program spans 3 or 4 months and provides exposure to IPOs, share issues, block trades, and related M&A activity within a global but close-knit team.

You’ll receive on-the-job training and the chance to grow into a full-time Analyst role within Equity & ECM Advisory, participating in structured learning around valuation, modelling, SPACs, due diligence and

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic background and (an almost completed) Master’s degree in Business economics or related program.
  • Excellent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding work ethic.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Creative, open-minded and solution-oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • As Equity & ECM intern, you will be involved in equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, share issues and block trades.
  • You will work alongside junior and senior Oaklins professionals to assist listed clients on M&A buy- and sell-side transactions, public offers and fairness opinions.
  • You will be involved in (pre-IPO) equity capital raisings for high growth private companies.
  • Oaklins provides on-the-job training within a structured training programme covering topics such as valuation, financial modelling, SPACs, due diligence and contracting.

What you will do and learn

Oaklins' Equity & ECM Advisory professionals support public and private companies, management teams, shareholders and financial sponsors on a wide range of (complex) transactions. Having an independent position, we use our knowledge and our network to identify solutions best suited to our clients’ needs.

As an Equity & ECM intern, you will be involved in equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, share issues and block trades. In addition, you will work along junior and senior Oaklins professionals to assist listed clients on M&A buy- and sell-side transactions, public offers and fairness opinions. You will also be involved on (pre-IPO) equity capital raisings for high growth private companies.

We are looking for (near) graduates that are motivated, eager to learn, and are passionate about Equity & ECM Advisory. The internship comes with a high level of responsibility and opportunity to experience a steep learning curve. You'll receive on-the-job training and benefit from working in a specialized team.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to start as a full-time Analyst at our Equity & ECM Advisory team.

Oaklins provides an effective learning experience based on a structured training programme, where interns can learn about topics such as valuation, financial modelling, special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), due diligence and contracting.

Equipping the next generation of dealmakers with the knowledge to excel in Equity Capital Markets, M&A and Debt Advisory is at the core of our Intern Academy. We aim to inform, engage and inspire our interns to perform at the top of their potential. With the training, our interns will not only expand their knowledge of the sector but also gain insight into the day-to-day activities of our analysts.
