Job summary

J&T Express is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to support reliable operation of sorting centers and automated logistics equipment across our Benelux footprint. The role focuses on diagnostic troubleshooting, preventive and planned maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage spare parts, and guide maintenance technicians. Strong English and Chinese communication is preferred to coordinate with international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably logistics/automation.
• Strong knowledge of automated sorting equipment and conveyors.
• Experience with electrical schematics, PLCs and industrial networks.
• Certifications in electrical or technical fields preferred.
• Welding qualifications are an advantage where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and coordinate emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Job description

J&T Express is a global logistics service provider specializing in express delivery and e-commerce logistics. As we expand our operations across the Benelux region, we are looking for an experienced maintenance professional to support the reliable and efficient operation of our sorting centers and automated logistics equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose equipment faults, coordinate emergency repairs, and replace defective components to minimize downtime and maintain equipment availability.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly inspection and maintenance plans. Ensure maintenance activities are properly documented and completed.
• Planned Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance schedules, including equipment inspections, performance testing, calibration, and replacement of wear parts. Prepare maintenance reports and recommend improvements.
• Spare Parts Management: Establish spare parts inventory procedures, define minimum stock levels, and ensure the availability of critical components for maintenance and repairs.
• Equipment & Team Management: Maintain equipment records and lifecycle documentation, coordinate maintenance resources and supervise maintenance technicians where applicable.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring equipment issues, analyze root causes, and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency and safety.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable Dutch health and safety regulations and internal safety procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in logistics, express delivery, automated sorting centers, or warehouse automation.
• Strong knowledge of automated sorting equipment, such as DWS systems, singulation systems, narrow-belt sorters, cross-belt sorters, and wheel sorters.
• Solid experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor systems and automated sorting equipment.
• Good understanding of electrical schematics, electrical automation, PLC control systems, industrial communication networks, and equipment monitoring software.
• Relevant electrical or technical certifications are preferred. Welding qualifications are an advantage where applicable.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills, with the ability to respond effectively to equipment failures and operational emergencies.
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to coordinate with local teams and international stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced logistics environment and provide maintenance support during peak periods when required.
