Job summary

Keyrus Portugal invites an AI Engineer to join our Hybrid Zaandam-based team for a 6-month freelance contract. You will design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions, blending LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI with human decision-making.

Lead architecture-to-code efforts, mentor engineers, and contribute to secure, scalable deployments using Python, LangChain, REST APIs, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and pgvector. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI/LLM applications in production environments.
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade AI solutions and architectures.
• Proven experience taking AI solutions from development through to production.
• Experience working in Agile, collaborative, and engineering-focused environments.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable enterprise AI architectures for LLM, RAG, and Agentic AI applications.
• Build production-ready AI applications using Python, LangChain, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered solutions, including RAG pipelines, AI agents, and supporting services.
• Design solutions that are secure, maintainable, scalable, and fit for enterprise environments.
• Work with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and pgvector to deploy and operate AI solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Support delivery through CI/CD, Agile development practices, testing, and continuous improvement.
