JOB DESCRIPTION: Engineering Unit Lead (Technical Project Manager)

Are you an experienced project manager with a strong engineering background and experience from the pharmaceutical industry? We are looking for an Engineering Unit Lead to take ownership of a portfolio of capital projects and drive technical investments from concept through implementation. This position is responsible for leading engineering projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and on time. Location: Olst, The Netherlands

About the role

As an Engineering Unit Lead, you will act as the primary engineering partner for an assigned production area. You will be responsible for managing the project portfolio within your area, ensuring that both ongoing and future projects are prioritized, planned, and successfully executed. You will oversee projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from early concept and feasibility studies through design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover. Working closely with Production, Quality, EHS, Procurement, Maintenance, and external contractors, you will play a key role in supporting site growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience from the pharmaceutical industry or another GMP-regulated environment.
• Knowledge of project management principles and project lifecycle execution.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a complex environment.
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on ownership and execution.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
