Job summary

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a global footprint, seeking an Engineer Rotating Equipment (Shop) to perform inspection and repair activities in the local workshop and contribute to reversi on engineering of parts. The role supports field service activities from a back-office capacity and collaborates with sales and tendering teams.

You will join Sulzer Turbo Services, with a focus on rotating equipment services for compressors, steam and gas turbines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5 years’ experience in rotating equipment engineering.
• Very good English language skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspection & repair activities on rotating equipment in our local workshop.
• Reverse engineering processes of rotating equipment parts.
• The repairs, operations, and maintenance of rotating equipment in general.
• The developments on rotating equipment related services and products.
• The support of field service activities in a back-office role.
• Advice and support to other departments e.g. sales, tendering as well as external customers.

About the role

Join our Sulzer Turbo Services team, part of Sulzer Services, which is one of the world's most advanced independent providers of repair, overhaul, and maintenance within the turbine industry. From Venlo (Lomm) or on site, we provide our customers worldwide with solid, customer-oriented, and flexible support for their Compressors, Steam and Gas Turbines.

In this role you will be accountable for:

• Inspection & repair activities on rotating equipment in our local workshop
• Reverse engineering processes of rotating equipment parts
• The repairs, operations, and maintenance of rotating equipment in general
• The developments on rotating equipment related services and products
• The support of field service activities in a back-office role
• Advice and support to other departments e.g. sales, tendering as well as external customers

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 5 years’ experience in rotating equipment engineering
