Job summary

Sulzer Turbo Services Venlo B.V. is seeking an Engineer Rotating Equipment (Shop) to join our Venlo-based team.

You will oversee inspection and repair of rotating equipment in the workshop and contribute to reverse engineering of parts, while supporting field service activities from a back-office perspective. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, at least five years of rotating equipment experience, and excellent English communication skills.

• 5+ years of experience in rotating equipment engineering.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

From Venlo (Lomm) or on site, we provide our customers worldwide with solid, customer-oriented, and flexible support for their Compressors, Steam and Gas Turbines.

In this role you will be accountable for:

• Inspection & repair activities on rotating equipment in our local workshop
• Reverse engineering processes of rotating equipment parts
• The repairs, operations, and maintenance of rotating equipment in general
• The developments on rotating equipment related services and products
• The support of field service activities in a back-office role
• Advice and support to other departments e.g. sales, tendering as well as external customers

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 5 years' experience in rotating equipment engineering
• Very good English language skills
• A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
