Job summary

Frencken IMS in the Netherlands seeks an experienced professional to support the IMDS program, manage projects, and maintain engineering documentation. You will drive market development, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and ensure compliance with company processes.

The role requires HBO-level technical education in mechanical engineering or chemical technology, plus fluency in Dutch and English (German is a plus). Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams is expected.

Qualifications

  • HBO-level technical education in mechanical engineering or chemical technology.
  • Knowledge of NTZ products, VW systems BeOn/LiOn, and automotive tools.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and implement market developments and project-based activities.
  • Manage engineering documentation, drawings and file management.
  • Coordinate project plans, track KPI progress and cost status.
  • Assess 8D, PMP, and IMDS processes; maintain lessons learned records.
  • Prepare and participate in client visits/meetings; ensure compliance with rules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver filter concepts meeting customer needs.

Duties/Activities, Responsibilities & Authorities
  • Daily: Performing activities in the role of PSCR in accordance process 3.20 of the management system (is involved from the very beginning if there is a potential product safety-related problem).
  • Weekly: Having contact with new and existing customers Presenting NTZ, its products and services to customers Developing filter concepts together with existing and new customers Carrying out activities arising from the various projects.
  • Activities in the role of project manager; creating and/or updating the project plan, including assessing execution and coordinating with project members regarding execution and priority.
  • Carry out activities arising from the various (change) projects.
  • Perform activities arising from the management of engineering documentation, such as drawing and file management.
  • Checking test reports and drawings made by someone else
  • Monthly: Define opportunities to develop markets based on, among other things, products, and markets based on development work Being involved in start-up developments Planning and conducting client visits/meetings
  • Activities in the role of project manager: analyzing the progress, cost status, and quality of the project's product/production process and taking action if necessary.
  • Quality is assessed based on, among other things, the RPN number/Cpk/Cp value.
  • Tracking and implementing changes regarding IMDS Consult sources for Lessons learned and update the Lessons learned document.
  • Assess the 8D overview for the necessity of intervention by the PSCR.
  • Keeping the CAD package and related software up to date
  • Assessing whether ideas are patentable
  • Projects: Attend and/or organize various meetings Initiating and supervising projects
  • General responsibilities: Compliance with the regulations in the house rules Compliance with the processes, procedures, and instructions of the documented management system
  • Specific responsibilities: Initiating and implementing market developments Finding an optimum balance between filter solutions that meet customer requirements and the cost of implementing the solution. Executing project-based activities so that the project KPIs are achieved Taking action if project KPI objectives are not met Developing filter concepts and/or related products Management of engineering documentation Processes related to IMDS, Product Safety Representative, and Lessons learned
Job requirements
  • A completed technical education in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Technology at a minimum of HBO (higher professional education) level
  • Knowledge of NTZ products and processes in accordance with the Knowledge & Skills matrix
  • Knowledge of automotive core tools/techniques; SPC, D-FMEA, DVP&R, P-FMEA, APQP, PPAP & VDA 2, VDA 19.2, DFSS, GD&T, IMDS
  • Knowledge of the assigned roles in customer portals
  • Knowledge of specific VW systems; BeOn, LiOn, KVS VW-specific training courses; Formula Q, BeOn, LiOn
  • Automotive-specific training courses; VDA192, PSB
  • Knowledge of the assigned roles in Exact Knowledge and experience with Dyflexis
  • Knowledge and experience working with Excel (advanced level)
  • Knowledge and experience working with Word (advanced level)
  • Knowledge and experience working with PowerPoint (advanced level)
  • Knowledge and experience working with email (Outlook)
  • Knowledge and experience working with Teams
  • Good command of the Dutch language, spoken and written
  • Good command of the English language, spoken and written
  • Good command of the German language, spoken and written
