Job summary

1000scholars seeks a highly motivated MSc graduate in Precision Design to contribute to a safety-critical mechanism project at the University of Twente. You will work on flexure-based joints capable of blocking high loads and enabling millisecond releases, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The role focuses on numerical modeling, mechanical design, and hardware validation, with exposure to Siemens Energy facilities and a 2-year tailored post-master program leading toward EngD

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a relevant precision design field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take initiative in multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate flexure-based mechanisms for fast release under high loads.
• Collaborate with UT and Siemens Energy engineers on design and testing.
• Model numerically and build hardware prototypes for validation.
