Job summary

Etpa is seeking a Data Analyst who can turn data into answers across the business and report directly to the CEO. A core part of the role is market surveillance: you monitor markets, flag unusual activity, and decide when something should go to the regulator.

You will collaborate with Operations and Finance on questions and projects, providing data-driven insights across the company. Experience in power markets is useful; essential are strong analytical judgment, integrity and the ability to

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a quantitative or analytical role.
• Comfortable with large, detailed datasets, including timestamped event data.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, spreadsheets and BI tools, or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor orders and trades across our markets for signs of market abuse, and investigate what looks unusual.
• Own the decision on whether a case meets the REMIT notification threshold, and submit the notification to the national regulatory authority and ACER.
• Keep case records that hold up to external review, and improve how we detect issues, from tooling to procedures.
• Work with teams such as Operations and Finance on the questions they need answered, from one-off analysis to recurring reporting.
• Support projects across the company where data analysis is needed.
• Build dashboards and tools that make recurring analysis faster, including practical uses of AI.
• Explain what the data shows clearly to the people who need to act on it.
