Job summary

Staffice B.V. in the Netherlands is hiring an Ocean Import Forwarder to manage shipments from start to finish, negotiating rates with lines and carriers, and coordinating with transport providers and overseas agents.

You will process documentation, ensure accurate data entry, and keep customers updated on shipment status. The role offers a direct contract with the client, a 40-hour week, and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in ocean import forwarding or similar logistics roles.
• Strong knowledge of ocean import operations (FCL and LCL).
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming ocean freight shipments from start to finish.
• Negotiate freight and transport rates with suppliers and carriers.
• Book, plan, and accurately process shipments into the system.
• Coordinate with subcontractors per customer agreements.
• Track shipments and provide proactive customer updates.
• Resolve operational and transport-related issues.
• Prepare and check transport documents.
• Handle invoicing and record transport costs.
